A Few of Baby Eldon

These were taken around 6 weeks or so.

Love his little naked shoulder. His baby acne has since gone away, which is nice.

Look at those sweet baby lips

Not his best shot, but at least he looks somewhat happy and his eyes are open

Should have pulled out the good camera. The phone camera is no good.

Sledding

Sledding already, you say? Yup, we are. This was the first time Lincoln or Bennett had been sledding. I missed the photo-op of the first sledding experience, but Bennett was in the front and got a lot of snow in his face, so he only went down once and wouldn't go again. He had a bunch of snow on his eyelashes.

After the second run.

Bennett still sulking about the snow in his face. Could his little, red, button nose be any cuter?

Matt and Lincoln trudging up the hill for the fourth and final run of the day.

Lincoln was done after this run because, as you can see, he got a bit of snow in his face this time around.

Maybe next year, we'll be out longer than 30 or 40 minutes. They were very excited about the hot cocoa afterwards.

I Love to See the Temple

Note: I did not take any of the photos except the last one

We're getting a temple here. I am SO excited, cause I've had family names coming out of my ears the last 3 years, and now I can go more often rather than making the 2.5 hour drive down to Cardston. The temple gets dedicated tomorrow. In the interior, there is wheat on all the door knobs, light fixtures and stain glassed windows to represent Alberta. Also, the have the praire rose in a lot of the tile work. It is really beautiful. In the creation room, they have an amazing mural which, I heard is of Waterton Lakes National Park which is just across the border from Glacier National Park.

Wheat on the doors.

I asked Lincoln what he saw in the temple after having gone with Matt to see it. He told me he saw a goose. There are geese in a river in the mural. Too cute.

The view is amazing. You can see the mountains (where Banff is) off in the west, and the downtown skyline to the southeast.

My fantastic friend, Wynne, who drove all the way from Kelowna for the open house and stood in the blizzard with me in order to get in the temple.

Caught Up

Finally caught up on the blog. You may want to hit "older posts" at the bottom to see the many other updates.

Ready or Not....

Ready or not, it's wintertime. I personally am NOT ready. Just a week or two ago, I was in 65-80F weather in SLC. Calgary is just too cold for me. Below are the "highs" for the week. What the??

And as a side note, the forecast was wrong. No sun on Thursday and Friday. The kids didn't mind, though. They keep asking to put their "swim suits" (i.e. snow suits) on.

Lincoln is infamous for eating VERY dirty snow.

"My glove came off... fix it!!"

Lil' cuties.

Rosie cheeks and hat head after coming in. Yup, still in their pajamas. They went out in the snow at 8:30 AM.

Snug as a bug. Love him.

Too many snow photos, I know.

SLC Trip

Matt has been up at site A LOT lately, and needed to go for a solid 2 weeks so he thought I should go to SLC with the kids. We tried to get a passport for Eldon in time, but they said it was going to take three weeks, which would have made it so we couldn't do the trip. I discovered later that he just needed a birth certificate, so we jumped in the car on Oct 4th and drove down there. Matt flew back up to site 2 hours after getting into town. When he came to pick us up, we hit the road 2 hours after he flew into SLC. Not a fun trip for him, but we had some fun with our family.

Eldon's passport photo.
