Camping at Horseshoe Lake near Cranbrook, BC

As mentioned previously, we recently found out that we are moving to Houston come July. We are really going to miss the mountains and the lovely summer here, so we headed for the hills to try to get some camping in. Matt neglected to find a campsite that was actually open prior to our departure. We lucked out and found Horseshoe Lake just before it got dark. A tender mercy. Don't you love that phrase? But it really was!

Thrilled about the new tent and sleeping bags. There were wolves howling in the background and they were glad to have Lucy and Daddy to protect them. How did they even know to be afraid?

Eldon snoozin' on my back. Slept in my sleeping bag with me cause it got a bit chilly.

From me, to you.

Marshmallow Roast with Gpa and Gma Adsero at Our "NEW" Place.

Here we are at our "new" (actually really old) place. After the 12 foot flames that Grandpa set ablaze, settled a bit, we had a really nice time. These are really the only photos I have of their visit cause we were too busy workin' like dogs. I should have gotten pictures of Matt and Grandpa building a fence, putting  a door on the "garage", Grandma doing a million loads of laundry and unpacking all sort of junk, etc, etc. We also went to Cirque du Soleil, but not pictures of that either. Shame on me.

Grandpa Adsero and the cheese balls.

Grandma Adsero (I dont' think they were quite ready). Also, please note Bennett's awesome marshmallow stick.

Grandpa giving Benny the tips and tricks.

"This is NOT how you do it", Grandpa says.

Please note the marshmallow on Matt's face and the city skyscrapers between the trees in the background. Love the yard and location of this place. More pictures of the house to follow at a later date.
