Lincoln has been pushing up a lot lately and tucking his knees under his belly like he's almost ready to crawl. Here he is:
When Matt and I were first married, we were getting ready to go some place. I was done getting dressed and waiting for Matt in the living room. He comes out wearing a striped shirt and plaid shorts. It wouldn't have been too bad if either pattern had been a little more subtle, but both were very loud. I put my foot down and made Matt go change. He said, "What don't you like about it? It's funky fresh!". There have been plenty of times since then that Matt has put on kind of a wild combo and I'll say, "I think that might be a little too 'Funky Fresh' for the occasion". The other day I asked Matt to get Lincoln dressed, and this is the outfit he came up with. I should have known. Not only is the outfit Funky Fresh, but the shorts are also 5 times Lincoln's size.
Oh, but did you see his smile? I love it - he's so happy, despite his lovely choice of clothing! Jason gets the boys dressed sometimes, and when I see them I'm sure that people wonder if they have parents that care . . . oh, well. Comes with being a Dad, I guess.

ReplyDeletehahahaha! My roommates and I often hunt for the worst stripe/plaid combo of the day together. It seems to pulsate through the Logan blood stream. The worst I saw was white and orange striped shirt, brown and blue plaid shorts with...get this...blue and brown plaid FLIP FLOPS. matt and lincoln have got nothing on that guy.
