One Month

Bennett is a month already! How the time has flown. We've been VERY busy ever since he was born... busy recovering, busy cleaning, busy touring Korea with my family, busy getting his passport, busy flying home and busy enjoying the U. S. of A. I'm not sure what his stats are, but we will soon find out as he has an appointment to be circumcised in a week or so here in the States. They don't circumcise their kids in Korea until they're 12 if they do at all, and Matt insists that it must be done and it must be done before then. Matt said, "We cannot have a son of the covenant and a gentile in the same family". I think I'll make Matt take him to the appointment cause I don't want to needlessly inflict pain on my poor baby boy.

Anyway, Bennett is a little sweetheart. He hardly spits up (although when he does... he sure does!), and has only twice let loose during a diaper change. Either I'm getting really good at speedy diaper changes or he's A LOT better than Lincoln about that. Maybe a combo. His hair has lightened slightly, and I noticed today that he's losing some of it, but what he does have is still brown. Many people comment on how interesting it is that Lincoln and Bennett's coloring is so different. It seems that Bennett is probably going to end up with blue eyes. Not a surprise since 3 out of 4 of his grandparents have blue eyes. He's a champion nurser these days and is really filling in, especially his double chin. He's good at tracking me with his eyes and cooed for the first time a few days ago. As seen in the video below, Bennett is quite snorty. I don't know if he has allergies or if he's been sick since he was 3 days old or if he has a deviated septum, but he sure snorts a lot. My nickname for Lincoln is "Bugsy" (don't ask me why). My sister, Julia, suggested that I start calling Bennett "Pugsy" since he snorts like a pug and then I'd be the mother of Bugsy and Pugsy. Poor guy. I think I won't call him Pugsy. We sure love him.
