Kansas City Christmas

We tried to take some Christmas pictures of the kids prior to our trip and this out of focus one was the best we could do.

This one was pretty good, although Bennett is off doing his own thing as usual. The rest look about like the ones below.

This Christmas was spent with the Adsero Clan in Kansas City. All of Matt's siblings were able to make it. It was really great to have everyone together. Below is a VERY LONG (10 or so minutes) video of Christmas Eve and Christmas morning happenings. Christmas morning, we all went to church, and then when we got back, many of the kids changed back into their pajamas that Grandma gave them to open presents. Christmas morning mayhem is shown below.

Madisen was quite excite about her "Elf on the the Shelf".

Lincoln was quite pleased with his Hot Wheels!

After everyone had left, we still had a few more days with Matt's parents, originally, we wanted to go see Matt's Grandma and Laila's siblings in North Dakota, but the kids were both sick and Bennett was teething, so unfortunately it didn't pan out. We were able to go to the zoo and a mini Church History tour those last few days.

Here's the zoo:

The tigers were definitely a highlight!!

We got all excited about these two kangaroos and then...

we realized there were all these!!!

The one rolling on its back on the right reminds me of Lucy Dog.

Tree Kangaroos are weird...
...and so are Matt's hat and shades. I guess he was going for Christmas colors.

Lincoln wasn't so sure he wanted to pet the sheep. I wasn't either. They were a little smelly and dirty.

Lincoln looks thrilled.

And the Church History Tour:

Kansas City Temple which is still under construction.

Eating lunch in the parking lot across the way from the temple.

Liberty Jail where Joseph Smith, Hyrum Smith, Caleb Baldwin,  Lyman Wight, Alexander McRae, and Sidney Rigdon were imprisoned for 4 winter months while awaiting trial.

Church of Christ (RLDS) Temple located right across the street from the dedicated temple site.

Here's a little bonus: Lincoln and Bennett push chairs over to the counter to try to snitch candies off the ginger bread house we made with the Caballeros. I busted Bennett:

Most of the candies were stuck on there too hard to eat, so they resorted to nibbling what they could off the house.

  2. The half eaten candies on the gingerbread house are very funny, but oh so disgusting! And by the way, I can't believe how long your hair is. When did that happen?
