Eldon has known for a long time that his 4th birthday would entail a trip to Build-A-Bear. Luckily they have one right here in Abu Dhabi, so that's where we went!!
Eldon is sharp as a tack, sneaky, witty, charming, crazy, cute, snuggly and sweet. He is getting very good at writing his name, is a great counter and just beginning to add. He's feisty and can stand his own against big brothers.
He still loves little guys and enjoys lining them up on things (like the edge of a bathtub) and making them fall in one by one. Dress-ups are a major favorite. He has dress-up ADD, and changes his mind once a minute who he wants to be. He has gotten to be a very careful colorer, and is adamant that things are the color they ought to be.
He asks lots of questions. Every time we are on a run or in the car, it is just question after question. One day, in the bathroom, he was moving his arms all around and twisting his head like a crazy man. He turned to me and asked very sincerity how we move our bodies. I tried to explain that there are little "wires" that go from our brain to the rest of our body and that the wires send little messages to our body to tell it what to do, and the muscles obey. Then he said, "There are lots of cool things that Jesus made about our bodies". Very true.
Since we've moved to Abu Dhabi, he's reverted to coming in our bed at night saying he's had a bad dream, but he does so with a twinkle in his eye. Sometimes he comes out before he's even fallen asleep. Such a stink. He has given us a run for our money, but we're looking forward to seeing what a dynamic personality he will be as he gets older
Rub-a-dub-dub!!
Getting Spider Bear Dressed
We had a hard time finding where to go to get a good birthday cake. We have since seen many places, but we had to resort to IKEA desserts in our time of need.
Picked out a Power Ranger as well. Happy Birthday, little buddy!!

Happy Birthday to Eldon! We miss him and his love for "guys"
