Matt is in the Young Men's presidency, so we had the pleasure of accompanying the YM on their campout it Oman. Jebel Shams is the highest peak in Oman and the surrounding area is considered the Grand Canyon of the Middle East. It was very impressive and worth the 5 hour drive.
We drove on some gnarly dirt roads in the minivan to get there.
Slept in the car cause there were LOTS of rocks. Woke up to some goats.
Pretty amazing panorama.
Cute little dweebs.
Goats climb trees...
Our fearless scout master.
Too many places for Eldon to fall to his death so I carried him.
That cute little baby in there.
Lunch in the ruins.
Looked at these terraced fields. Reminds me of the mountains in China.
The stamped designs on the door are so cool.
My boys were so mad I wouldn't let them repel. Just 4 more years till Lincoln's a boy scout.
Goats climb trees part 2.
Goat farm at the trail head. Love the blue door.
