Our Little Blob

We just had our first ultrasound yesterday. How amazing!!! I'd been told that we'd be able to hear the heartbeat, but I didn't know that we would be able to SEE it!!! It was so surreal! How can that be inside me??? I don't really FEEL pregnant. How is it that only after 8 weeks, there can be a heartbeat? Life is SO amazing!! It is so difficult for me, especially after that experience, to understand how people can say that it's not really ALIVE yet, and use that as rationalization to kill. Abortion is legal up until 3 months. I'm only 2 months along, and and our little blob looked very much alive. Isn't it awesome that Heavenly Father lets us be a part of the creation of the bodies for his spirit children? I feel so blessed.

  1. Holy Cow! Congratulations! We are so excited for you. Your ultrasound is pretty clear, and I'm amazed at how much it already looks like a little person. This is great!

  7. Hey I'm glad you posted about your "blob". After Laura's last email I figured that was what was going on, but I felt like maybe I shouldn't know. I awkwardly brought it up with your mom on conference weekend and she confirmed my suspicions. I missed you there, by the way. Anyway... this is my long way of telling you CONGRATULATIONS!!

  9. Charlotte my love- I'm so excited for you! Being a mom is the greatest thing ever (the hardest thing ever, but the greatest thing ever). You will be amazing. I remember going in for my first ultrasound at about 8 weeks because we were having some problems and hearing his little heartbeat. It is the first link to this little person that you have. I hope things get more exciting for you, and just know that you will be wishing for some down time once the baby comes. Love you! (You should come back to Utah anyway).
