It was Benny's first day of preschool. He was very excited, but you couldn't tell on 'meet the teacher' day. He wouldn't even look her in the eye. I think he is warming up though.
Perhaps this is TMI, but I felt I should tell my kids what to do if something inappropriate happened at school. We discussed this a couple months ago and not much since. As we were getting in the car after Bennett's first day of school, he said very sweetly and with lots of enthusiasm, "Mom! Nobody touched my private parts today at school!". What a sweetie. I was very glad to hear that report. Perhaps I explained this too early on. I am starting to feel like perhaps I should have not put them in preschool, and just kept my babies at home as long as possible. I have a friend who lives 5 minutes away whose new kindergartener had third grader threaten him on the school bus. This kid had his shoelace around his neck. And there was a kid that was stabbed to death at a local high school a couple of days ago. Our house was also recently burglarized while we were at church this last Sunday. We live in a good area, and still don't escape things like that. I am generally a very easy going, think the best of things, no fear kinda person, but I am starting to feel like I am not sure who to trust. I hate to taint sweet Benny's big day at school with all this, but I am a little afraid if sending my curly headed boy out into this cold, cruel world. Ya know? And, while I am whining, I hate blogging on my smart phone. Missing my MacBook Pro right now.
Let's end on this note, though:
I swore I would never buy superhero or ugly cartoon character paraphernalia for them, but I did, cause they love that junk. So excited about their new backpacks.

Funny how lots of the things we swear we would never do end up happening;) glad you have this diaper snob a chance:)
