The Mess We Live In

Pretty much all my readers know this, but we moved to Houston in July and are now renovating and building a pool. The kitchen is gone, and a lot of the plumbing and electrical in the house has had to be shut off so we have tucked ourselves in a small corner of the house while everything is being redone.

An attempt to control the dust.

Our living room was vaulted but we added a gameroom above it.

The future master walk-in shower

The breakfast room

The kitchen

Classing up the neighborhood with a dumpster and port-a-potty out front.

The new landing going into the new gameroom,

New gameroom

Many things throughout the house have a black x indicating that they are not to be used while our plumbing is being re routed.

The toy room.

Former gameroom. Future laundry, storage and toy room.

They hit our sewer line while digging our pool. The white pipe through the middle is our temp sewer line. We kept telling the boys not to flush the toilets that day or they would get the pool guys all messy (this was before they had the temp line in) and now every time Bennett flushes, he asks if it is getting the pool all messy.

Pool is almost done now.

Backyard is still a muddy mess but at least all those crazy bushes are gone.

 Our make-shift dining room

 Our bath/washing machine

Getting good at crock pot meals.

The mini fridge atop the toilet

And the microwave and toaster in the boys' room completes the tour of our "kitchen".
