Two Months

Hard to believe, but Bennett is already 2 months old. I think that with him being the second child and all the stuff that has happened since he's been born, his first two months of his life have gone by a lot faster than Lincoln's did. It has taken me by surprise. What has taken me even more by surprise is how much he has grown. His stats are as follows:

Weight: 14 lbs 3 oz (90th Percentile)

Height: 23 inches (50th Percentile)

He is 6 lbs 4 oz heavier and roughly 1.5 inches taller. To illustrate my point, check out these photos of him a few days old versus at 2 months:

My sister, Laura, likes to call him "Chubby Dubby", making fun of his double chin. He's a little sweetheart. Matt says his nose and chin kinda make him look like a cartoon character. I kind of agree. Hopefully he'll grow into them as he gets older.

He started smiling a couple weeks ago. It is so sweet and is nice to know that he knows I exist. Many people have said that Lincoln and Bennett look a lot alike and I'd kinda say, "Whatever" cause I really do think that Bennett's nose, forehead and hair coloring are quite a bit different from Lincoln's, but when I was taking pictures of Bennett's smile, I thought to myself, "I've seen that face somewhere before". I went back into the archives (although I didn't have to dig too deep since Lincoln is only just a little over a year older than Bennett) and discovered where I had seen that face before. I don't know if it is cause they're the same age in these photos or cause they really do/will look alike, but I must admit, there is a resemblance. Lincoln is on the left, Bennett is on the right.


This has kind of turned into a post of comparisons, but to continue the trend, a few weeks after Bennett was born, I FINALLY noticed that his ears are not the same shape. Matt calls it a birth defect and blames it on me cause I wasn't very good about taking my prenatal vitamins. I'm not going to point any fingers, but it is true, his ears are different. Take a look.
