I missed the 4 month post for Bennett so I have stayed up against Matt's will till 1:24 AM to post this. The words of my doctor after confirming my pregnancy with Bennett keep ringing in my ears, "Poor kid, you'll be so busy, he won't have any baby pictures". At first I was offended... to think I would neglect my child like that! But now I'm glad she said that because sometimes I really do have to make a conscious effort to take photos and do blog posts. So here I am, in the A.M. cause I love this little guy.
He is Mr. Rollie Pollie these days. He rolled over for the first time while we were with Matt's family in Kansas City during the Christmas Devotional (Dec. 5th). The picture above was taken shorty after that event, hence the "What just happened?" look on his face. He now rolls back to tummy over both shoulders but hasn't figured out the tummy to back thing yet. That is surprising cause usually that's what babies do accidentally first.
He ate rice cereal for the first time after we got back from our trip. He didn't hate it, and is getting really good at opening his mouth for me and swallowing instead of doing the tongue rejection. Lincoln (as seen in the video below) isn't so sure he likes Bennett in HIS high chair getting all the attention. Lincoln will beg and beg for bites of Bennett's rice cereal. Sometimes I'll give in and Lincoln says, "Mmmmm!" very loudly. He wouldn't touch the stuff if Bennett weren't eating it, little stinker!
His hand eye coordination has developed a lot just in the last week or two. He grabs toys, food out of my bowl, my hair and whatever else is in range. When I went to get him up in the morning, recently, he had turned 180 and his socks were off. He'd always stayed right where I left him before so it was quite a surprise.
He loves sleeping with his head turned to the left just like this:
I love these sparkley blue eyes and little spit bubbles.
He's always balling up, grabbing his feet and rolling all around on his back.
Here's a recent shot of Lucy to break up the baby monotony. Speaking of neglected children... here's one (poor doggy):
He is 18 lbs 4 oz and 26.25".
Just in case you're like me and can't get enough of the big blue eyes and baby chub, here's another shot:
He really is so cute! I love the picture that he is staring intensely at his hand. I also love the fact that at 5 months he weighs 2 lbs more than Esther...and she is 10 months. Granted, she is really skinny.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours!
