Finally... about Thanksgiving

Part 1: Mesa with the Mechams

Here's the Mecham Family Reunion in Mesa, AZ... Part 1 of our Thanksgiving trip home.

We had talent night as usual:
Ryan, Lilly and Anika

Emma and Owen singing the cutest song ever.

Jules singing to Lincoln

Lincoln was totally mesmerized by everyone:

Cousin Brad. Need I say more?

Mom and Grandma Mecham

Leslie, Dad, Laura, Robert

Jeff, Leslie, Me, Bennett, and Jules.

Mom, Bennett, Dad, Gma and Gpa

Mark and Pat

Laura, Meredith, Alison

Claire and Owen

Brad, Jeff, Ron, and Timmy

Family pics have never been more fun!

One night, my aunt, Meredith, had us all split into groups and choreograph a dance to a popular song.

Single Ladies. Loving my Grandpa's moves. Never would have imagined him doing this. Such a good sport. Ours ended up being super short cause we couldn't get our music working.

Raining Men. My mom really got into it.

Baby Baby. Love my dad on the back row.

Black or White with Matt. He secretly really liked doing this.

It was a Blast~!!!

Part 2: Kansas City with the Adseros

We spent 8 days with Matt's parents at their new locale. New as of a year ago. We had last Thanksgiving there, and they had just barely moved in and were still purchasing furniture. We had two dogs then and only one baby and drove from Houston. This year we have one dog and two babies. We left the dog and flew from South Korea. My how things have changed. Some highlights include lots of hanging out and sleeping in, a nice and long overdue date night, going to Dave and Buster's, getting cavities filled, Lincoln not sleeping well, good food, good shopping and a great mini-Christmas.

Chris and Madi with Bennett

Hunter and Lincoln

Hanging out in the one unfinished room in the house. Why? We're not sure.

Jenny and bug-eyed baby B.

Lincoln pretending to drink Grandma's food storage

Madi being the best babysitter ever

Mini-Christmas at the Bengtson's

The Adsero Men chillin'.

Part 3: San Francisco

To begin our long journey home to South Korea, our connecting flight from Kansas City to San Francisco (which was on a different airline) was delayed an hour and a half... our whole layover in San Francisco. To avoid risking the same thing happening the following day, we just waited the hour and a half, took the flight to San Francisco, and spent the night there and changed our international flight that we missed to the following day somehow without getting charged. YES! We spent the evening seeing some sights. Matt had never been to SF so it was fun for him to see.

Powell St. Trolley

A look up Powell

Loving the new Jogger.

Spent a bit of time at Pier 39:

Sea Lions

Alcatraz in the background

Golden Gate Bridge in the clouds behind Matt

A ship and Golden Gate Bridge

Sweet Bakery

Saw Obama

Ate Losbser Bisque in a soup bowl. Matt is looking at a crazy lady that is yelling. Saw lots of crazy bums.

Had a shake at Ghiradelli Sq.

It was a great evening in San Francisco and broke up the trip a bit. I'd do it again, and I'm sure Matt would agree.

Made it to the Narita Airport in Tokyo. L and B sleeping in the stroller that RECLINES!!!!

Matt enjoying a last taste of root beer during our layover in the Narita Airport, as per our tradition. It's the last chance before we are deprived again for many many months.
