Horrified

Today on the way into the mall, Lincoln picked up a stone from the landscaping around the parking lot. It was fairly large, maybe an inch and a half in diameter. Anyway, he had a gram cracker in one had and the stone in the other. I just had the umbrella stroller for Benny and Lincoln was on foot, cause I was just gonna be in and out. A car stopped for us so we could cross the road to the entrance. Lincoln was off in Lala Land so I grabbed the gram cracker hand and dragged him across the road while trying to steer the stupid stroller one-handed. Sorry... stupid is a bad word. There was a taxi parked at the entrance, dropping someone off. We were right in front of the taxi when I heard this horrible noise coming from the taxi. At first, I just saw the face of the taxi driver and the passenger. They looked terrified. What in the world just hit their car??? I was so frazzled trying to cross the street that it took me a whole 2 seconds to realize that Lincoln had just chucked the rock at the taxi. It bounced once on the hood before cracking into the windshield and going up and over the car. I was horrified. Why does he do these things to me? I left Bennett on the curb, and walked over to the taxi driver so he could inspect the car for damages. Luckily, the windshield didn't crack or chip. He had just had the whole windshield replaced yesterday. The taxi driver was very nice, but I was mortified. What crossed Lincoln's little brain??? No more rocks for him! Period.
