A Denver Thanksgiving

Matt's sister, Jenny, and her family got news not too long ago that they'd be leaving for South Africa for Chris' work. We decided to all get together in Denver before they left. It was great to have everyone there.

Eldon's first (of many I'm sure) flights. I look like a man in this one. Please don't judge.

Sunday morning, Matt got up with Lincoln, and Lincoln said, "Look, Dad!!! Reindeer!!". There was a huge herd of Elk right out our window.

Everyone else headed home Sunday morning, but we stayed for a couple more days at the downtown Grand Hyatt. After church on Sunday, we went for a nature walk. The boys were so slow, it was painful. I was wishing we had our hiking backpacks to put them in. They ended up on our shoulders or backs much of the time. Every stick and rock just had to be picked up.

The sun was way too bright to get good smiles.

Pretty, huh?

What a ham.

Sunday night we walked around 16th Street and saw the Capitol and City and County building. Then we headed back for a little rest and relaxation. I really like downtown Denver. Sad we didn't bring a camera.

Watchin' movies.

Enjoying his flashy star we got at the City and County Building light show.

Room service for breakfast!!

Monday, we went to the Children's Museum

Benny was so tired, he could hardly manage a smile.

Bennett could not get enough of the balls. We'd go to other areas in the museum and after a few minutes, he'd take off running back to the balls.
